The past year presented an array of opportunities for increased access to care, new partnerships, and expanded outreach; all of which impacted our community in meaningful ways.
With continued grant dollars from Arizona First Things First, we were able to maintain and grow our medical dental integration efforts including a screening, dental education tips, and oral hygiene kit with every well child check. Underscoring the importance of dental health in children has had a profound effect on NOAH patients’ overall wellness and prevention of dental-related emergencies.
Beyond the exam room, in 2024 we launched online scheduling through our MyChart patient portal. The addition of this tool brought access to real-time scheduling 24-hours a day, seven days a week, for selected payors and appointment types. This capability has unleashed a multitude of opportunities for additional online scheduling in the future bringing added convenience and improved access to care.
Other partnerships with purpose enhanced our vision to reach not only our patients but the communities we serve. Addressing the need for additional mental health resources, grant dollars from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona funded the development of a new awareness campaign and website dedicated to emotional health and well-being. Offering numerous resources, visits to the site were initiated from all over the country far exceeding expectations.
With support from Molina Healthcare, St. Mary’s Food Bank, Farmbox Arizona, and WasteNot, our Fresh for You food distribution program at Cholla Health Center has grown to provide an assortment of fresh produce, shelf-stable goods, and ready to eat meals to more than 100 families each week.
The growing demand for food brought inspiration for a new outreach event, Community Care Day, which offered additional goods and services including diapers, school supplies, shoes, and even haircuts to families in need. With support from Molina Healthcare, Jaburg Wilk, and St. Mary’s Food Bank, we were able to serve more than 500 people who turned out for this important opportunity; reducing the financial stressors that often come with the busy back to school season. Coupled with NOAHfest and other outreach events, NOAH’s community footprint far exceeded our clinic walls in 2024, setting the stage for meaningful impact through important programs and initiatives in 2025 and beyond.
NOAH’s meaningful work is realized through the support of our volunteers, donors, grant funders, community partners, employees, and patients. We are eternally grateful for those who continue to champion our mission of providing affordable healthcare for all.
