I studied biochemistry at the University of Utah. After graduating, I worked in the University’s Research Park in an Immunology lab and found myself volunteering at a clinic (Maliheh Free Clinic) run by Iranian immigrants which provided healthcare to underserved populations. Through this experience, I realized that although my expertise was in data and numbers, my passion was in patient care.
