I chose the path of becoming a physician assistant as I am passionate about preventative health (cancer screenings, vaccines, reducing risk factors to mitigate cardiovascular risk, etc.), women’s health, as well as mental health. I enjoy working on a team with other physicians, PAs, NPs, RDs, and of course our incredible medical assistants and nurses. In my daily practice I encourage lifestyle modifications (in concordance with medical interventions such as medications if needed), mindfulness practices, meditation, and yoga to help calm the mind and strengthen the body. I hope to foster a path of wellness that is realistic and attainable.
What are your passions outside of your profession?
I love playing video games with my kids, practicing yoga, scrapbooking, playing with my cat, and going on the occasional rock climb or hike with my husband.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do?
I would probably build a casita in my backyard for my mother to live in, donate to local charities, and travel to Croatia with my family.
