I worked in advertising prior to nutrition and I knew that I could not continue to work in a field where I was not helping myself and others to lead a healthy and happy lifestyle. Also I love to eat, so I wanted to learn more about food, cooking, and its relationship to health.
Why do you work at NOAH?
I wanted to work for an organization that allows for creativity in the workplace. Working with patients at NOAH means I get to problem solve everyday and teach patients about how food impacts their life and health.
What are your passions outside of your profession?
I love camping, hiking, and being outdoors. My next goal is to start backpacking for longer trips. I also have rebuilt two bicycles and like to get my hands dirty with basic bicycle and auto repair. In terms of cycling, my next goal is to bike from Tempe to Tucson.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do?
I would start an animal sanctuary for all types of animals that need a place to live such as cows, goats, chickens, alpacas, and whatever other displaced animals need a home. I would also donate as much money as I could to help combat climate change, environmental damage, and global pollution.
