Getting to know your provider
Why did you choose your profession?
When you’re a kid, people often ask, “If you could have any superpower, what would it be?” My answer was always the same: healing powers.
As I got older, I realized that while I couldn’t magically heal people, I could choose a profession that helps people heal in a real way. That’s what drew me to behavioral health and psychiatry. Mental health struggles can affect every aspect of a person’s life, and I wanted to be part of helping people find hope, stability, and recovery.
Why do you work at NOAH?
What really stood out to me was the interdisciplinary team approach. Mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and the best outcomes happen when providers collaborate across disciplines to care for the whole person. I also value NOAH’s mission of serving the community and improving access to care. Many individuals face barriers to receiving quality healthcare, and I wanted to be part of an organization that is committed to meeting patients where they are and providing compassionate, evidence-based care regardless of their circumstances.
What are your passions outside of your profession?
Outside of work, my biggest passion is spending time with my family. My career is important to me, but I really value being present for my kids and creating memories together. Whether that’s traveling, exploring new places, camping, road trips, or just spending quality time together, those experiences are what matter most to me.
I also enjoy learning and personal growth. I’m naturally curious and love researching new topics. I enjoy setting goals and continually finding ways to improve both personally and professionally.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do?
If I won the lottery I’d take care of my family first. After that, I’d focus on giving back to the community. I’ve spent my career helping people and having the ability to support programs that improve access to healthcare, mental health services, and other community resources would be incredibly important to me. For me, success is less about what I have and more about how I can help others.
