When should I expect to hear about a referral?
Routine Specialty Referrals can take 30 business days to process with your insurance company. To check on the status of your referral call NOAH at 480-882-4545. Once authorization is obtained, you’ll receive a MyChart notification email, letter in the mail, or a call from the specialist office to schedule your appointment. If you have not been contacted within 3 weeks to schedule an appointment, please call NOAH at 480-882-4545.
- If you have a specific provider in mind that you would like to see, please IMMEDIATELY let your provider know so there is not a delay in your referral. Otherwise, the specialist is chosen by your provider or a specialist that is in-network with your insurance.
- If a specific specialist is requested, the referrals department will verify insurance coverage with the requested specialist. If the specialist is not in-network, you will be notified by phone.
- If you are uninsured and have been referred to Valleywise Health Center, please contact the Valleywise Health Eligibility department at 602-344-2550. You must go through the Valleywise Health Eligibility department before being scheduled with a specialist at Valleywise Health Center.
