What is Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)?
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a medically proven path to help you recover from Opioid addiction. These medications are long acting, reduce or eliminate the cravings associated with opioids and can remove the feeling of someone needing to misuse opioids to get “high” or just to avoid being “dope sick”.
Opioids include, but are not limited to: heroin, fentanyl, and prescription pain relievers such as Vicodin, Percocet, and Hydrocodone. The NOAH MAT program is part of an integrated model of care – this means that we help you access medical care, personalized counseling, and support in building life skills for a successful recovery journey.

How long do I have to be sober prior to my appointment?
Patients must be sober for 24 hours prior to initial induction.
How long does it take medication to work?
Patients should start to feel relief from Suboxone within 20-30 minutes of sublingual dosage.
Why do I need labs done for this program?
We may monitor your liver function and make sure there are not other health concerns.
Do I need to go to Detox first?
This depends on your usage and history. If it is difficult to abstain the 24-hours required prior to initial appointment or the provider feels it would be safer, Detox may be recommended.
Will the Suboxone take away my pain?
NOAH’s MAT Program is not designed to monitor pain management. We recommend that you seek assistance via a pain management clinic. Certain pain medications are contra indicated while taking Suboxone.
Do you prescribe Methadone?
No, NOAH does not participate in Methadone treatment.
What if I do not have insurance?
NOAH accepts you regardless of your insurance or financial status. We can help you apply for coverage through Arizona’s Medicaid agency, AHCCCS or the Health Insurance Marketplace. We also offer a discount program that allows you to pay reduced rates for services based on specific qualifications.
