Patient Advisory Council Orientation

We are hosting an additional orientation for your convenience!

Here’s what you’ll do as a council member:
- Share your thoughts and recommendations through quick online surveys about what’s working and what could be better.
- Chat with NOAH leaders in small focus groups to help shape changes that really matter.
- Make an impact in your community through fun volunteer opportunities.
FAQs
When is the application deadline?
Patients are welcome to apply for the Patient Advisory Council anytime! The council capacity is about 50 members; however, we anticipate members changing over time due to various circumstances.
How long do I have to commit to serving on the Patient Advisory Council?
Participation is at will and can be terminated at any time. To maintain Patient Advisory Council active standing, members must participate in at least one meeting or activity per calendar year.
Will virtual and in-person participation options always be offered?
Meeting format will depend on participation levels. Currently, we plan to offer all meetings in both virtual and in-person formats.
Will meetings be offered in other languages?
Meetings will primarily be conducted in English with a certified interpreter providing verbal translation in Spanish. Other languages will be considered for interpretation on an as-needed basis.
Will opinions and experiences I share as part of the Patient Advisory Council be kept confidential?
We will do our best to keep responses anonymous, however, sharing opinions and experiences is a fundamental element of the Patient Advisory Council and content will be shared with NOAH administration and providers as needed.
Why do I have to be a current NOAH patient to participate in the Patient Advisory Council?
Only current patients are eligible to be members of the Patient Advisory Council. A former or future patient may not have the experience to give feedback on topics being discussed.
Do I get a discount on NOAH services for being part of the Patient Advisory Council?
No. Serving on the Patient Advisory Council is purely on a volunteer basis. Participants will not be compensated.
