I chose to be a Dietitian because food connects us. Regardless of race, language, gender identity, religion, etc, we all have to eat. And if we eat together we can build relationships and bridge what divides us. Also, nutrition as a science has so much power to heal and provide comfort and joy and I get so excited about sharing that with others.

Outside of work I am an avid tea drinker, enjoy playing video games with my partner, reading science fiction and fantasy books, and playing with my four cats.

If I won the lottery I would buy so much tea. But seriously, I like to think I would do helpful things with the money first, like pay off the homes of my parents and in-laws, or my own home, or put my nephew through college. After that I would love to travel with my partner, visit his family in the Philippines, visit some tea gardens in China, India, and Nepal, and try all kinds of new foods.
