Between growing up with my mother working as a nurse and having a younger brother who has Down Syndrome, the nursing field was a natural choice. I also love to help others!

By having psychiatry integrated into the primary care setting, it allows providers the opportunity to work together in patient care. It also affords patients a team that communicates to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.

I love spending time with my family (husband and two kids) and my two very large dogs. I am currently training one of them to be a therapy dog. I also enjoy hiking, watching football, and pool time in the summer.

Pay off student loans, go on a beach vacation, and start a company that would train, as well as  employ, persons with developmental disabilities, such as Down Syndrome.
