Every individual has a story and that story influences how he/she responds to the environment and the people around. Family is a collection of individuals each living his or her own story. When problems develop in the story, certain behaviors and, sometimes, conflict arise. I became a therapist to nurture and help my patients develop the story that echoes the life he or she wants to live.

As both a mother and a therapist, I believe the medical world and the behavioral health world are intertwined. A patient’s medical health is influenced by his or her mental health and vice versa. Working in an integrated healthcare environment, like the one at NOAH, allows me as a Marriage & Family Therapist, to help in treating the whole person.
