We know that you may have questions. NOAH is here to answer those questions and to help you live your healthiest life.
How NOAH supports LGBTQ+ Patients
Giving our patients the best care means knowing who they are. It is important to share your sexual orientation, gender identity, and personal pronouns with your provider. It helps your provider and it helps you!
Sharing this information helps us provide you with appropriate care and referrals for other providers and specialists who have experience working with LGBTQ+ patients.
Conversations with your providers are confidential so your gender identity and sexual orientation will never be shared with anyone else. Not sure how to get started? Johns Hopkins recommends asking your provider “What experience do you have caring for LGBTQ+ patients?” and taking the conversation from there.
It is important to be out with your provider because your health depends on it.
