What is a Mental Health Screening?

A mental health screening is an introductory appointment with a NOAH behavioral health team member. The purpose of the appointment is to evaluate situations or symptoms to determine the best care plan to help you feel better.

What to Expect at Your Appointment?

Plan on this in-person appointment to take about 90 minutes and be prepared to answer questions about personal and family health history, environment, school or work performance and behavior, and any medications you’re currently taking. If the screening suggests you might benefit from mental health services, your provider will work with you to create your individualized care plan and schedule you with NOAH counseling and/or psychiatry services that best match your needs and preferences.

How Much Does It Cost?

Mental health screenings are often covered in full by AHCCCS and most other insurance plans. As with all NOAH services, mental health screenings are also eligible for NOAH’s Sliding Fee Scale Discount Program.
