Ginger and Turmeric Tea

This tea will become your best friend throughout the winter months. Ingredients

1 lemonsliced
1 inch gingersliced; leave the peel on for added health benefits
2 inch turmericsliced; leave the peel on for added health benefits
1 pinch black pepperfor bioavailability of the turmeric
1 tbsp maple syrupor honey
4 cinnamon sticks

Directions

Place a pot on medium-high heat and add water. Add ingredients. Let come to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 8-10 minutes.

Pour contents into your favorite mug and add a cinnamon stick as a garnish.

Healthy Cinnamon Hot Chocolate

This deliciously warm drink is sure to satisfy those chocolate cravings. Plus, the fragrant smells from the spices takes this creamy cup of hot chocolate over the top!

Ingredients

1 ½ cups unsweetened plant based milkalmond, oat or soy is best
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp allspice
¼ tsp vanilla extract
tsp ginger powder
1 tsp maple syrupor local honey
1 pinch cardamon
1 pinch cloves
1 pinch salt

Directions

In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, all spices, and salt. Place a saucepan over medium-high heat, pour half the milk into the saucepan, and add the cocoa powder mixture. Whisk until smooth. Add the rest of the milk and whisk together until frothy.

Heat the hot chocolate mixture to your liking. Pour into your favorite mug and add a cinnamon stick as a garnish.

Caramel Apple Cider Mocktail

This recipe combines the perfect amount of zip from ginger, buttery sweetness from caramel, and tanginess from apple cider, to create the tastiest mocktail for your next holiday gathering. 

Ingredients

1 tbsp caramel saucewarm
6 oz apple ciderchilled
6 oz ginger beerchilled
1 cinnamon stick

Directions

Pour caramel sauce into the bottom of a glass or clear mug. Slowly add apple cider and top off with ginger beer.

Add a cinnamon stick into the glass for garnish and to help stir contents together.

Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte

Pumpkin spice adds a delightful touch to any drink, and this recipe is no exception. By substituting cream with almond milk, you can enjoy a delicious and nutritious fall beverage that’s both simple to prepare and good for you!

Ingredients

8 oz brewed coffee or 1-2 shots espresso
½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
3 tbsp pumpkin puree
½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
½ tsp vanilla
2 tbsp honeycan use maple syrup or agave nectar
sprinkle of cinnamon on topgarnish

Directions

Microwave almond milk and pumpkin puree for 30-45 seconds. Add pumpkin spice, vanilla, and sweetener. Use a frother to foam the milk mixture. You can also use a blender if you do not have a handheld frother.

In your preferred large mug, pour the coffee and then add the foamy mixture on top. Finally, sprinkle with cinnamon, savor the delightful aroma, and take a sip!

NOTE: Use stevia for a sugar-free version.

Dark Chocolate Cinnamon Coffee

This is a delicious warm drink that goes great with just about anything.

Ingredients

2 tbsp chopped dark chocolate
¼ tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp instant coffee powder
pinch of nutmeg powder
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp 1% milk
½ cup 1% milk

Directions

Combine dark chocolate, cinnamon powder, instant coffee powder, nutmeg powder, sugar, and 2 tbsp of low fat milk in a microwave-safe cup and put in the microwave for 20 seconds. Mix well.

Warm 1/2 cup low fat milk, pour milk into dark chocolate mixture and stir.

Serve immediately.

Directions with a French press:

Add 4 tablespoons of choffy into French press.

Pour 16 oz of boiling water into the French press, then stir.

Let steep for 10 Minutes, stirring half way through.
